How do you turn off some features of Norton?

Alright, so my computer has Norton SystemWorks. I hate it, but this is my family's computer so i don't really have a say in what goes on it. Right now, the stupid ''Norton Ghost'' is taking up anywhere from 75%-99% of the CPU. Is there any way I can turn off Norton Ghost so that this won't happen in the future? We never even use this feature of Norton.

Easy, just set the ghost service to disabled. IMO Norton Ghost is a poorly written resource hog...

These instructions assume you are using Windows XP.

Click Start and then click Control Panel.

Click Performance and Maintenance. (If you do not see the Performance and Maintenance icon, you may be using Classic View. You can skip to step 3 below, but you must double-click Administrative Tools.)

Click Administrative Tools.

Double-click Services

Find Norton Ghost in the list of Windows services, and Double-click on it.

In the Startup type list, choose Disabled, (or Manual, if you ever wish to use it again without reversing these steps, the important thing is to change it to something besides Automatic)

As the process will currently be running,

Click Stop, and then click OK.

That should definitely resolve the problem, Hope that helps and Good Luck : )
